Selective Schools
Programme
Alpha Omega Education runs
advanced classes which prepare Year 5 to Year 6 students for
Selective and/or Private School Tests.
What are Selective School
Tests?
The Selective School tests are special examinations that
students must sit if they wish to gain entry into 1 of 27
Selective High Schools in NSW that are renowned for
nurturing students with high academic ability.
The tests last 2.5hours
and examine several academic areas including:
English
Mathematics
General Ability
Writing
When are the Tests
Conducted?
The tests are usually held
in March of every schooling year, with Year 6 students or
their parents expected to take action towards securing their
child’s registration to sit this special exam.
How does Alpha
Omega Education prepare students for Selective Tests?
We run advanced classes
which work on expanding student competencies related to the
reading, mathematics and general ability sections of these,
or other private school, assessments.
Our Selective preparation classes
introduce students to
more
advanced questions, relevant stimulus materials and enhance
student comprehension, reasoning and numeric skills or
abilities. All this is achieved
in an environment that replicates test conditions.
