The National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy or NAPLAN is a national test that will assess the ability of all Australian students in the areas of Literacy and Numeracy. This test will take place in May.
The test will involve students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 from all States and Territories.
Each student will be assessed on the following areas:
- Reading
- Writing
- Language Conventions (including spelling, grammar and punctuation)
- Numeracy (includes calculator and non calculator tests for Year 7 and 9 students)

In order to adequately prepare students for the tests, Alpha Omega Education is running a set of 1-Day NAPLAN workshops taking place on the 13th – 16th of April at our Auburn, Bankstown, Burwood and Liverpool education centres.
The aim of the workshops is to develop the confidence of each student by familiarising them with NAPLAN by explaining and interpreting test content and style of questioning.
